Although the email reminder sent the day before gave the wrong time for my appointment, a phone call to the office straightened it out. When I arrived I was seen promptly. I thought half an hour was a little excessive to wait for the novocaine to take effect, but at least it did take effect, and I only needed one little additional shot during the procedures. It was a wonderful experience as far as dental visits go. My dentist had a light touch; the injections to numb the pain of the extractions to follow were hardly felt by me, the extractions themselves were almost painless and quick. I recommended this dentist, (I don't know if I am supposed to mention his name), to my family and friends.

I think my dentist, Dr. Kandar, is intelligent, skilled and kind, and I don't know what more one could ask of a dentist. However, I seem to end up spending inordinate amounts of time at Preferred Dental every time I go there. Not too much of it is waiting to be seen, but there seem to be long periods between interactions with staff and caregivers that get kind of tiresome.

The staff was very wonderful I referred a lot of people to this dentist very friendly and kind not rough at all. I was so scared of the dentist but when I got to this office they were very skillful they knew what they were doing they make me feel comfortable, it was like a walk in the park for me and I'm telling you I hate needles and dentists and it was a great experience for me. I refer anyone to take the experience you won't be disappointed.

This place is quite well organized and they seem to have everything. However, the oral surgery department where I had to go for my two extractions is in the basement, down a steep flight of stairs, and the waiting area is decorated with a creepy picture of a skeleton looking out of a dungeon...not exactly cheery! The surgeon found a lump in my tongue and tried to persuade me it was dangerous and should be removed. I had a serious situation where my upper denture spilt down the middle and kept catching my tongue. I couldn't take the pain more. I deliver express mail for the U.S. Postal Service on West 27th Street...... I walk by Preferred Dental Care every day and decided to go inside and see if they can help me. They did more than help me, they put a smile back in my face. I decided to make Preferred Dental Care my dentist!
