We were there on a Tuesday evening and there was ample parking right outside, which was great. Service was attentive and friendly. The food was very good. The pricing seemed a little high for what it was. They were out of perch the night I was there, but they substituted walleye, which was very good. We were told the walleye was from Canada, which is a little disappointing when we were in view of Lake Michigan. We do not often find meat that is up to our standards in a restaurant setting. Their dishes seem to be all homemade, and the quality of meat was exceptional.
After a day of hiking the Indiana Dunes we decided it was time for some dinner. Basically 5 minutes from Mount Baldy, we came across Fiddlehead - and it was just an amazing dinner. The food was excellent, where everyone enjoyed their meals. The server was extremely friendly and stopped by often to see if we had any needs, refilled water, order additional drinks and just to check how our meal was going. Overall it was a very good dinner for a decent price and we would highly recommend if you are in the area.
We highly recommend this cute restaurant. Very friendly and helpful staff. Food was served quickly and as ordered. We had some of the best lobster rolls ever! We will definitely be back.
Great food, Great location and a great crew! Even if you have celiac disease you can feel safe eating here.
