Dr. Fernandez was thorough in his examination of my daughter and was friendly and put her at ease. He explained the EEG results and went step by the step through the treatment plan and highlighted the side-effects of the medication. The following day he returned my calls and was patient and comforting in answering all my questions which lowered my anxiety. The front desk staff was courteous at the check in and answered my questions about billing and appointments efficiently.

Dr. Fernandez has been my son's medical provider for years. He is beyond knowledgeable, excellent bed side manners, an unique ability to establish rapport at the very different stages of my son's life (6-15 year old boy). very comprehensive in his assessments, gives the patient and the family the time needed and the opportunity to ask questions and be part of the treatment team by seeking the patient and parent's feedback and suggestions. my son has been a patient of Dr. Fernandez for over 10 years now and he is the BEST ! He is now only in Boca which is far from our house but for him we will drive to Boca. Sometimes you may have to wait a bit but He is a Dr. worth waiting for. I also need them to call our insurance company every so often to get pre-authos and they are successful and timely.

Unbelievably worst office staff ever! No stars if that was possible!! We saw Dr Fernandez in October and Dr ordered an MRI of brain (no specific reason). Scheduled today (2 mo later) to fit our schedule with Christmas break. Spoke with Sylvia 3 days ago to make sure she got authorization and she said “insurance said it wasn’t needed”. Like an idiot, I trusted her. Went this morning to Joe DiMaggio for fasting (no good or drink) MRI with anesthesia with my son with special needs. Guess what?! “CANCELLED-NO AUTHORIZATION”!! I took my son to Dr Fernandez after a podiatrist said he saw some “res flags” in my sons walking. To get the initial appointment was frustrating and the staff was rude but I let it slide (I shouldve known) We saw Dr Fernandez who recommended us to get several tests done including bloodwork - after 3 weeks of not hearing and leaving several msgs about results I got a phone call saying the results were in. We have seen 3 Neurologist’s Dr Fernandez is by far the most carrying dr ever . Great bedside manner He takes time to explain things His staff is amazing .

I love Dr Fernandez. Thanks to him, my son is another person. He takes his time to sit with you, analyze recommend what to do to make a difference on my child. He thinks out of the box and really listens to you. His office stuff was not the best and the phone system is horrible but he just changed it so he deserve 6 starts if I could. Thank you dr Fernandez, I wish more doctors are like you.

The ONLY reason he is getting 2 stars is because we LOVE this doctor! Their phone system is atrocious and highly unprofessional! No way to speak to a person and they are not prompt or reliable about calling back. It is very frustrating to have a child in need of medication and not getting calls back. I normally do not go to doctors unless a live person answers the phone. Regretting getting in this deep with a practice that doesn't consider their patients as priority.
