The Legend begins with beer—Busch beer to be exact. But this was just the beginning…In 1921 Anheuser Busch decided to open a drinking establishment in the picturesque river town of Alton, Illinois. A yellow brick building known as Bon-Air, was constructed right on the corner of three streets, 4th, Pearl and Broadway. Had a great time! Food was excellent! Our waitress Nicole was AWESOME and took great care of our group! I just wish some music started at Noon or 1pm. A fuller music schedule would make it 6 stars!!

Love this place. In the apron summer months it one of our regular stops on our motorcycles. Just celebrated my sons 21st there yesterday and had a great time. Ashley our waitress was amazing.
I'm from out of state and was in the area for work. I had heard great things about this place so I had a coworker from the area bring me there. The food was terrific and I was blown away by how cheap it was for the food! We sat at the bar so we didn't interact much with waitresses but the bartender was pretty friendly and outgoing. The only downfall for me was that it was cash only and I didn't have my debit card with me to take money out of the ATM. I only had a small amount of cash on me but was still able to enjoy a coupl... read more
