I took my family who had never been there. We were a group of 5 and out of the 5 entrees we ordered, 3 were wrong. So needless to say, my family wasn't too impressed.
Ordered the pastrami sandwich that is advertised as piled high on grilled sourdough. Sandwich came out with both pieces of bread touching so much for piled high. The bread was soggy as well. Asked for my side salad before the meal did not get it until the server said oh your food will be out in a few, I then asked about it and she said oh it's not here yet? I have loved Farrell's since I was a child, and to be able to come back to a place that brings back childhood memories was wonderful. Our waitress was amazing too. There were some delays but I can totally understand due to the restaurant reopening once again. I work in the industry and understand how things work, and I am a little bit more understanding to longer waits, delays and slight mistakes that can happen on the first weekend being open. Remodel looks nice, but I think the Sweet Pete's is a little much. You lost a lot of seating with the remodel. We went on Sunday afternoon, 48 hrs after they reopened. You could tell the staff was new, a little unoranganized. Not sure about the ice cream topping carts. They take up a lot of space. Waitress looked like they struggled to push around. Wasn't impressed watching her build my triple choc brownie at my table. Think I'd rather just have it made in the back and brought to my table.
Love coming to Farrell's. The new candy store is awesome, ice cream tastes better since being re-opened as well. Seems like there is more dining area too. I like the idea of the ice cream cart, but they are big and take up a lot of room. Makes it hard to navigate when there is 1 in each isle. What a funtastic time we had last night at the new Farrells!!! Who cares if it's not "just the same" as the old one! The food was great, the service was wonderful, and it was such a fun experience! Sure, they have a few kinks to work out (what new restaurant doesn't)..but it was an amazing opening night! � we will be back soon!!
Very disappointed they were 100 times better when they first opened a few years back we were there lat night 8/18/17 ordered a milk shake and a banana split took 30mins to get to us the banana split was so much smaller I don't enjoy having peanuts that are mostly peanut skin the toppings were barely there and on the wrong ice cream OMG!!! and those topping carts I want the Old time Farrells back. The only thing our waitress was very nice
There were some definate pluses and minuses visiting the new Farells. Not sure if they were overwhelmed because they just opened, but took us forever to get our order. It was at least 20-30 minutes to get a couple burgers and the ice cream was about the same. Our order was wrong and we were double charged. The menu is pretty limited compared to what they had before. The ice cream cart is not the best idea either.
