I think this place is a second rate Cracker Barrel. The food is not quality and sometimes you can tell it's been sitting out for awhile. Will never come here again!
My family and I went there for breakfast and did not like the food at all. We would much rather go any where else in Murfreesboro to eat. My three children didn't even like the food and they eat anything. My wife got a omelette and the eggs were still running. We live in Murfreesboro and by the time we left and got to our house 4 out 5 of us were sick and running to the bathroom. We could not use the bathrooms there because they were so dirty. We went there for breakfast and it was ok. I really didn't see what the big deal was, it wasn't any different than Shoneys. I wish we had gone to Cracker Barrel.. Decided to go there one night for supper and just as we parked, a huge, big bus pulled up and the driver went in to see if they could get seated and they were told yes. I could not believe it! The place was already crowed, we turned around and went some where else! Don't think I'll bother going back, too many other good places to go.
Farmers Family Restaurant is AWESOME! The country style buffet has the largest offering of home cooked items anywhere in Rutherford County. All the food items tasted great. The seafood choices were delicious! We brought our entire family and had a good old fashioned fun time. The best thing is that at 5pm on Fri and Sat they stop everything to do a blessing over the dinner. It was really nice. We'll be back.
Not a good place to eat. We will not be going back. We went on a Friday evening. I got the seafood bar and everything was severely overcooked. I love catfish but it was not edible there as it was REALLY hard. I waited for a new batch of catfish but it was the same. The shrimp, hushpuppies, scallops, all were overcooked. my son an I ate here on sunday, and the food and service were both great, we had Kim M. for a server, and could not ask for better. I had read some bad reviews for this resturant, and all I can say is that they must have been confused.
This place should be shut down, poor health ratings, bad service, horrible food, and the owner wants to argue if you complain. The owner has NO people skills got in my face and was yelling at me because I disliked the over-cooked, tasteless cabbage, non seasoned turnip greens, squash casserole (which wasn’t too bad)VERY undercooked hard as rocks new potatos,overcooked, tuff BBQ chicken, and cold cornbread type substance.
