Very grateful that Todd recommended the 65 plus Medicare Blue Cross program. Coverage takes affect in 11 days and the benefits appear to be very worthwhile.
Update: Per the NCFB response, it seems prudent to point out that I did not mean to suggest that Brooks Harrel personally wrote a note to the government to report an insurance lapse on a car which was actively covered by NCFB and GEICO. The system automatically sends alerts, I presume because some legislation requiring it to do so. The system issues these alerts based upon the information provided to them by NCFB agents, such as Brooks Harrel - and their staff.
