This was my very first eye exam at age 30, and I honestly never felt like I needed to go in before. But since my insurance covers it, I thought, “why not give it a try?” I chose Dr. Thurman Edward Wood, O.D. in Bakersfield because of all the great Google reviews—and I’m glad I did. If I could give this place 100 stars, I would. They are reasonably priced, the staff and doctor were amazing. My kid cried and was so bad while I was trying to get an exam. Honestly, my fault for thinking I could bring my 1 year old and thinking he would be good lol. The receptionist came in and strolled him around the waiting room and he was completely content saying hi to everyone around. I’m so thankful to her and everyone there for being so understanding.

I have been a patient of Dr. Wood's for 15+ years. Highly recommend, the staff is always friendly and the care is second to none. DR. Wood is the best,his attention to detail is second it none, true professional and you can tell he cares about his patients.
