I have been to Family Care Medical for urgent care many times in the past without any issue and been pleased. However, I was very frustrated to go in this evening, fill out the paperwork, and then have the girl at the desk tell me (incorrectly) that because my insurance card says “PPO” they can’t see me without a referral. Interesting since when I search the 01118 zip code for in-network providers with my insurance (in other words, I would NOT NEED A REFERRAL), Family Care comes up as the first 5 or 6 results.
RecommendedI have been a physical therapy patient for 3 different injuries in the last 2 years. I received excellent care and while I hope I don't have to go back, I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Still waiting for my 6 year old son to be seen after being here for already almost 90 minutes and literally watched people who came here an hour after me get called in before me. THE WAIT IS UNFAIR & Wayyyy tooooo long!!! They call it “family” care, but treat you like an outcast when you have a restless toddler whose been waiting here for 90 minutes already. My dad had a reverse shoulder replacement in December 2017 and came here to complete his physical therapy. The therapist are WONDERFUL!! My father was in constant pain after surgery but coming here always made his day. I would like to personally thank Karen and Doreen for taking such good care of him. You ladies were little rays of sunshine during a very difficult and frustrating time for him. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I and my family have visited the office for both scheduled appointments and walkins, and have found the staff and care to be top notch and understandable. Keep up the great work
Once again being told someone won't perscribe my medication, since i moved out of state, ans sending a manic bipolar person away with no medications. Worst experience of my life.
Horrible horrible horrible the nurse and the doctor have no knowledge of what they are doing. I even had the pharmacy call them to give them some knowledge more like educate them. I go to get better and take care of myself they were no help at all no X-rays no urine sample to make sure everything is good. Nothing was done. Then they want to be billing pt's taking there hard earned money while they do nothing but make you worst than you were. They are not in the best interest of the patient. So sad
