Do not recommend—negligent management ruined a great location. I lived here for 6 months in 2024 but had to move out early due to unlivable conditions and negligent management by Greg Olivas and Tracey Martinelli. While the location is charming (especially if you like the train passing by), the management makes this place a nightmare. Broken Appliances: Our refrigerator broke down constantly, causing hundreds of dollars in ruined food. Terrible place the only good thing about these apartments are their location. Dirty filtjy carpets no dishwasher and the whole place smells like piss. I would highly advice against renting an apartment here as you can get a house for the same price. Manager is a serious macho man. He doesnt seem to care about this place. Stay away!
Fairview Apts. was a nice and easy place to live! Not far from campus (about a 5 min drive really) and also walkable to DT (about 1 mile). You get to park right in front of your apartment door which is great and made me feel safe. Also the cameras added ensured my safe feeling. Plenty of guest parking as well and a great view of mountains from the balconies! The balcony space was an added bonus that is hard to find in SLO.
