I would like to start by saying that I live overseas and work in international sports, so I stay in hotels most of the year. I have high standards and know what a good hotel is. I came to Rolla for business meetings and the Fairfield was recommended to me. My business host was correct when she told me that Fairfield was special. She told me to take a moment, breathe and see the little details the staff does, and I am glad I did. She was correct, this hotel is unique from others I have stayed in. The general manager was unwilling to work through issues with our reservation that we started working before checking in. They claim to not have received anything from our credit card company that we made the reservation through. It made an already difficult trip more difficult.

We came to Rolla for our son’s graduation at the Army base. As a parent you can understand that I had a mixture of feelings seeing my son join the army. The Fairfield was exactly what are family needed. It was clean, comfortable and the staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Front desk even gave me extra chocolate in case "I needed a moment" when they saw I was struggling. They listened and reassured me, even though I was a stranger. Thank you! I had the pleasure of staying at the Fairfield Inn recently and I had it was an amazing experience. My friend and I were travelling and needed a room. We were having a hard day and when we called to make a reservation, Ariell, not only calmed us but made us laugh. When we arrived, we found the hotel to be a harbor of peace starting with the beautiful flowers outside and the warm greeting from front desk. We arrived on Wednesday, August 12, shortly after a storm had gone through the area. Unfortunately, the hotel, along with several other businesses nearby, was without power. When I contacted corporate to explain the situation and ask what could be done, I was told, “Good luck getting another hotel room.” That response was extremely disappointing and is not the level of customer service I would expect from Marriott.
