On one of the worst days of my life I meant Cathy Younkin at Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home, and slowly started to relax and realize it wasn’t going to be as bad as I thought. Figuring out how to put one’s best friend and soulmate to rest for eternity slowly became doable. Cathy was as kind as she was professional, and I will always be grateful for her compassion and understanding.
My good experience of Fairfax Memorial Park (FMP) is tied up with the passing of both my parents, Mom - four years ago and Dad - this past August. Our first counselor, Terrence Cassell, kindly& expertly guided us through the details of a time-of-need burial. As the 4-year anniversary approached, I visited FMP, both to see my mother’s grave and to meet with our counselor to discuss any remaining preparations for burying our father who was in hospice.
