I have had the privilege of receiving treatment from Dr. Burgut for slightly over a year. During this period, I have gained a lot of self-awareness and greatly benefited from her expertise. She has a lot of empathy and shows extreme professionality in any circumstance. Unlike my previous experiences with other psychiatrists, Dr. Burgut correctly diagnosed and treated me, and I wholeheartedly recommend her. She is a rare gem in her field.
Dr. Burgut has been my psychiatrist/psychotherapist for about a year and a half now, and I’m very glad I found her. She’s one of only two psychiatrists in the DC area who specialise in treating autistic adults—something I am very much in need of. I was too proud to get psychiatric help. Looking back, I know I should have done it much earlier. Dr. Burgut guided me in her gentle way in finding better ways to deal with my complicated life situation and effectively treated the severe depression I was in.
