I saw Dr. Burgut for 7 years. The only reason I'm not still seeing her is because I had to switch to another doctor for insurance reasons. I can easily say that she was the best psychiatrist I have ever had, and I've been seeing psychiatrists since 1995. She's very accommodating, a great listener, and she helped me finally get my mania (bipolar disorder) under control. I would absolutely see her again and I highly recommend her.
I have had the privilege of receiving treatment from Dr. Burgut for slightly over a year. During this period, I have gained a lot of self-awareness and greatly benefited from her expertise. She has a lot of empathy and shows extreme professionality in any circumstance. Unlike my previous experiences with other psychiatrists, Dr. Burgut correctly diagnosed and treated me, and I wholeheartedly recommend her. She is a rare gem in her field.
Dr. Burgut has been my psychiatrist/psychotherapist for about a year and a half now, and I’m very glad I found her. She’s one of only two psychiatrists in the DC area who specialise in treating autistic adults—something I am very much in need of. She’s thoughtful, empathetic, and speaks softly, which helps a lot with the auditory processing issues that came with my autism. I always look forward to my sessions with her.
