I have been shopping at this unique pet store for many years. In the past year or so whenever I go in to get hedgehog food they are out, forcing me to buy online from other sources. The staff once was very knowledgeable and consistent, now things seem out of sorts, shelves look sparse, and the employees are less than helpful. I’m so disappointed in how it has evolved since moving to a bigger unit.
So I'm actually pretty agitated because I brought two Uromastyxs from here and was told one was a male and one was a female low and behold they're both males! I really wanted a female 😞. We actually built the "female" a 4x2x2 enclosure (which wasn't cheap). So as of today we are out a good 400+ dollars. Money we can't get back 😡. I will say out of all the reptile stores in Vegas (and we have been to all of them) they have the most inventory and you could definitely luck up. When I walk in I do alway see clean cages and clean and healthy animals. But I do think as a exotic pet store they should give proper dietary advice to new owners. It’s in the new owners part to research but if a petstore tells them to feed this they may follow. Marshalls is terrible for ferrets and opossums should not be eating any type of kitten or cat food. They will quickly go downhill. Please educate yourself on mammals as well as I know you guys specialize in reptiles! 💗💗
I recently had an iffy experience with exotic pets and they reached out immediately to make things right. Not something you see too often in the exotic pet trade. Ken Foose and his staff are extremely helpful and professional. The health and quality of the animals we have purchased from EPLV are exceptional and they were shipped with care and attention to every detail that might have been encountered as they traveled from Nevada to Florida during the begining of January. Exotics always has an incredible supply selection everytime you go in! Also the only place I know that carries Rubber boas in Las Vegas.
Ive gotten more than half of my amphibians from them and they have always been healthy. My absolute favorite Ive gotten from them is my smooth sided toads. Today we got our first spider from them and the employees were super helpful and let us hold her and check her out before we bought her. Love this place!
