I would absolutely never rent another apartment managed by EXL Management ever again. The roof of the building had major leaks, which caused massive water damage to our unit. We sent these photos to EXL, but it took almost two years for our unit to be repaired, and only after we had HPD come and record official violations. Communication with EXL was painstakingly slow and frustrating over the course of our tenancy.
