The waitress forgets to put our order in and 30 minutes later we ask about our food. She says oh hes almost done with it im just waiting for it all to be ready. Over 10 minutes later ahe is no where to be found. We complain to the owner. We get up frustrated and he has the berve to tell us we are embarrassing ourselves by yelling. No one was yelling. We always go to Exeter Family Restaurant for Saturday or Sunday breakfast. We think the food is delicious and we've always enjoyed our experience there. Today we had an experience to top all experiences... All because of our awesome server Robin. We have a 15 month old son and I ordered him an apple juice. She impressed me when she asked if I wanted it half water, half juice. Throughout the meal, she was sure to check in on us, and ALWAYS with our son. we come here almost every week and absolutely love it. We are able to bring out little one & feel comfortable. The staff is wonderful. The food is fabulous! Chicken parm and the shepards pie are my favs and the ribs & seafood platters my hubby's fav.

This place has the best diner/restaurant food in Berks County....... Excellent seating plus service as well as food. I will be going there again
Very disappointed in the bacon. I don't know what you did but something has really changed. We eat there at least 4 times a week and things are not getting better. We love the waitresses and the bussers and Ed, but the food is going down hill.

Thanks for the comments Judy. We haven't changed suppliers in the last 15 years but I will certainly speak to those suppliers and find out if anything has changed. Bacon is a wonderful thing, and so I want to make sure it stays wonderful when we serve it. Thank you again for letting us know how to better ourselves. We will absolutely look into this.
We just left this diner about 10 minutes ago because we were completely ignored. It only took about 5 minutes to get our table for 2 at 11:00ish, but after that we sat for 15-20 minutes without being acknowledged at all. People around us had their orders taken and others were given their checks. A waitress with blonde hair took an order at the table beside us and made eye contact with me but ignored us.
