We received solar proposals from five companies, but we chose Excel Home Solar and could not be happier with our choice. Of the five, only John Garrett of Excel Home Solar actually came to our house to review the proposal and answer all of our many questions.
Looked over 8 different companies in St. Petersburg area. Made the necessary comparisons between companies reviewing quality (reading reviews), products used, timing, contract details and costing. Excel Home Solar is everything I could have hoped for them to be. Project costs, timing, communication, quality of work, follow up service, performance of product, all exceptional and highly recommended. We had our home solar system installed almost 3 years ago and have been very happy with it. It has saved us so much money on our power.. Wish we would have done it sooner.. The customer service at excel is amazing. Last summer we had an issue and one of the components failed. Their service department took care of it as soon as they could and didn't charge us penny.
We decided to do business with Excel Home Solar after seeing presentations from two other solar companies. Here's why: We decided to go with Excel in February 2018. I recommend Covey M. as a consultant regarding solar power. He's very knowledgeable and will provide you with details on how it works and how you can save money while helping the environment. I also recommend Excel Home Solar for their installation crew and office support. The crew was clean and professional. The office support was efficient in scheduling everything from the installation, inspection, and then helping walk through getting the system activated.
This company really cares about their customers satisfaction. They seem to always be there to answer the phone, to address any question, and to happily resolve any issue. My hats off to you for the personal touch.
This company far exceeded my expectations, and then some. I had an extremely knowledgeable and friendly advisor (Covey M.) who helped guide me without trying to "upsell" me anything. Then the project manager kept me in the loop and promptly answered any questions I had. Lastly, the installation crew was Excels own people, not subcontractors. I had a roofing leak in a solar PV installation, originally done 2.5 yrs ago by a now defunct company. Other solar companies that I contacted were not willing to provide service on an installation not originally installed by them. Excel HOME Solar was able to coordinate their team with an experienced roofer on short notice (2 days) over the July 4th, 2019 weekend to take care of my needs at a very fair price. Thinking of going Solar? Read this before you choose a solar company or installer. I decided to go solar last fall (2018), as everyone suggested I sat down with a few companies and I was blown away by Excel Home Solar equipment, (Rails, attachment, solar panels, etc...)
