This office scheduled my father with dementia for a last minute appt which we were grateful for. Once he saw Dr Ewing however we wished that we'd just gone back to KU instead. My father's care team have all been on very different pages in regards to his long term dementia care plan. In total conflict with the incredible dementia team at KU, Dr Ewing stated that he thinks dad is not incapacitated,just needs in patient psychiatric care. He stood in the way, did not let the patient get an MRI recommended by another doctor to assess his medical issues, and even cancelled the appointment.
Dr. Ewing is extremely unprofessional and so is his nurse! He doesn’t listen, appointment notes are always wrong! You do things his way or no way! Took 2 months to get a prior authorization for extremely important meds because his nurse didn’t send in the paperwork! Fortunately, the drug company let me have 2 infusions free while this office continued to drop the ball! Great doctor that never stops working to find out what is wrong with you.
Dr. Ewing was very thorough with the testing. He explained the results. I highly recommend him based on his professionalism and attention to detail.
Total waste of time. Very rude, does not listen, no help whatsoever. Avoid and find a better option in Kansas City.
My father has been seeing Dr. Ewing for several years. Just recently I had to begin taking him to his appointments. I have found that Dr. Ewing is great with my father. He really listens when to him and always tells us the truth even if it's not what we want to hear. He talks to my father in a way that he can understand and I truely appreciate that. Wonderful doctor!

He was extremely rude and dismissive. Waited 2 months to see him after two strokes and was told the memory issues and confusion were caused by depression.
