Not a safe place for teens or staff. They are constantly understaffed, making it impossible for the staff to adequately supervise the kids, despite their best efforts. The RCs are overworked and traumatized by everything they are forced to do. We know they are trying their best. Evolve was very committed to my daughter’s mental health improvement. My daughter absolutely loved her individual therapist and I was gratified by her therapist’s ability to relate to my daughter so that she could then take in the therapist’s guidance and wisdom. There were some rough edges in the day-to-day which I attribute to short-staffing not a lack of professionalism. Although the idea of residential treatment can be scary, my daughter is very positive about her experience in retrospect.

We took a huge leap by choosing Evolve Walnut Creek and quite frankly, I am forever grateful that we did. Our daughter's therapist (Niki) and her experience at Evolve WC, saved her life and our whole family's dynamic. The staff are amazing and the facility is beautiful. Niki and the WC director, Emily, were incredibly responsive and supportive. Their admissions process (thank you, Shannon!) and help with negotiating insurance were invaluable.
