amazing brazilian – I have been to Eve twice, both times for a brazilian wax. CHRISTIE, who only works on sundays, is fantastic: she's upbeat, thorough and quick (10-15 min). Hey, if she only took 5 min, she wouldn't be thorough!! Keep in mind that this place is tiny and fills up quick so you must make a reservation, but they'll accomodate you for the next day. Only for waxes – Got the full treatment here once: mani, pedi & brazillian. It came up to only 85 with tip! Excellent value, but the woman who did mani/pedi was awful. They ran late and asked if I was "still interested in french mani/pedi". I said yes, manicurist looked at her watch and sighed. She smudged my french manicure right after she did last nail and kissed her teeth/rolled eyes when I held it out to be redone! Also, I had to rest my feet on a rolling cart for pedi. Best Brazilian in NYC – I used to live near this place and was a faithful customer. Now that I have moved uptown, I have tried everywhere else, including J. Sisters and now I have stopped trying new places. This place gives the best Brazilian bikini wax because it is cheaper than other places, they have the blue wax for sensitive skin (and it works) and they are fast and nearly painless. Plus, unlike J. Mayaf is the best! – For a 10-min waxing fix (legs and brazilian) make sure to ask for Maya. She is absolutely fab! Quick, close to pain free and very good results.

Spend the extra $5 and go elsewhere! – I decided to try Eve, since I have been to Haven many times and have loved it. Eve was a bit cheaper, but I will never go back. The woman who did my pedicure was pleasant, but the woman at the front desk was rude. I was supposed to also have an eyebrow wax, and since they were running late, I was asked if I "still wanted it." Never again – As painfull as usial, wax residue all over, dirty waxing room - what more can I add? I read good reviews here and desided to check it out - I am not coming back!

Almost Painless Brazilian – As a veteran of Brazilian bikini wax Ive tried a dozens of different places. There is always a degree of pain involved and depending on where you go it will vary. Im surprised every time I go to Eve at not only the lack of lack of pain involved, but in the speed. The entire process has never lasted longer then a song on their stereo system and doesnt cost an arm and a leg. This isnt a pretty pamper you type of salon, but they get the job done and do it right.

Poor service, dirty, rude receptionist – After making the reservation in advance, I still had to wait for my Brazilian. In the middle of my session, the therapist had to leave to service another client that "had a bad temper" - I suppose I should have thrown a tantrum to deserve more attention and good customer service. The waxing room was dirty. The therapist was not thorough at all, no tweezing (it was needed!) and the wax was extremely painful (compared to others I had at Haven, J.Sisters, etc).
