Great food. Down home, friendly people. I heard it was closing.
Love this establishment. It is closing after many, many years. We had one of the best Thanksgiving lunches from here.
Evans is an institution and so sorry it is closing its' doors.
My dad started working for the Evans brothers down on Peachtree and 8th right after the war, and worked for them for 47 years. His picture used to be on the wall of this Evans in Decatur. He died shortly after retirement in 1998, but Evans was always part of our lives. So sorry to see it closing.
My 94 year old father called me last night about this. He eats here weekly. He is going to be lost. I have eaten at this place for over 50 years and the pancakes are one of a kind. A great piece of Decatur history that will never be forgotten.
You can't close. You're loved by all. Please tell us it's just a rumor.
