A hip replacement surgery that I badly needed was delayed because Dr Gaines told me that I needed to lose weight and told me that I should either get on the Mediterranean Diet or see a bariatric surgeon. I saw a second surgeon for a consult and he requested an MRI without contrast and that Dr made no mention of my weight and did confirm the need for surgery as well as Dr Gaines.
