Good, friendly people and got a great deal with a nice warranty on a 1998 4-Runner in great shape. It goes without saying "buyer beware" with used cars; if you aren't well versed in vehicle wear and tear, always bring a used car to a trusted mechanic first.

HONEST PRACTICAL AND FAIR! – I HAVE BOUGHT OVER 3 CARS FROM ESSEX MOTORS, EVERY TIME THEY HAVE TREATED ME SO FAIR WITH PRICING AND UNDERSTOOD HARDSHIPS OF REPAIRS, AS ALL MAN MADE THINGS ARE EXPECTED TO NEED FIXING. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS WHAT COUNTS RIGHT? NOT AT ESSEX. – I have never encountered such RUDE sales staff. I had inquired of the price of a car on the lot, I was informed that it had sold. I was curious to know how much they sold it for. I was yelled at by a salesman that said it wasn't my business. So, I pointed out his poor customer service skills and I was hung up on. We here at Essex Motors strive to satisfy every customer, but of course this is impossible. In the past 7 years, we have sold over 5000 cars and try in our family business to treat everybody respectfully and in the manner we wish to be treated ourselves. 1-15-2011 we purchased a used vehicle from Essex Motors. We took the vehicle for a short test drive and I mentioned to my son and the salesman that I thought the vehicle was shifting funny. I was assured that due to the temperatures being below 0 that day and the truck had been sitting that this was the reason it was shifting strangely. Great friendly place to buy a car! – I purchased a 1999 Alero from them they were more then happy to pull a carfax for me with intent to buy, They showed me about the vehicle, and had a nice family based atmosphere, I love the dogs! Thanks Essex
