The Inn is beautiful and the food excellent. Our group of 7 tried just about everything on the menu and all was outstanding. Each dish was artfully presented and prepared perfectly. If you're looking for a top notch dining experience in Essex, NY...go here!

Lovely summer evening here. Farm to table food; menu changes weekly depending on farm offerings. Friendly knowledgeable staff and great bar. GM Tommy introduced himself and chatted. Food was incredible. Varied, fresh-from-the-garden offerings. We had the steak and sea scallops entrees, both outstanding. House salt and pepper focaccia with special oil dip fabulous. Casual vibe in beautiful Essex, NY!
Such an amazing place, wonderful staff, delicious food all wrapped up in a charming little town on beautiful Lake Champlain. Love it.
I ended up here by chance on a busy Saturday night with a rather large group and no reservations. Despite this, we were welcomed and treated to excellent food: complementary homemade bread and a variety of high quality meals, house made wine from their own vineyard, and possibly the best service I've ever experienced. I can't recommend this place highly enough!
On a recent adventure with my husband (no plans, no reservations), we happened to take the ferry from VT and stumbled into the Essex Inn. They had a room available so we stayed, and ate dinner there at night. The room was lovely, and very comfortable. The food was absolutely amazing. It is a beautiful, quaint little town that we had not known existed. We can't wait to visit the Essex Inn again!
