Ive lived at the Essex Place Apts. for the past 8 yrs and have nothing but good things to say for the place and the great location. When I moved in in Nov of 04 Anna Ford was the mgr. and since then weve had 4 mgr. replacements . the current mgr. is a very good mgr. she fair minded but can be very strict when needed. Im still here in the same building and apt and luving it ; my neighbors are great and the staff here are great always kind, polite and respectful of others. The Essex Place Apts would make a great place to live.

My wife and I lived in the Essex Place Apartments for 4 years. There was one change of managers during that time. The rent was affordable, the location was great, and we had wonderful interactions with all staff members. The tenants were the only problems that we had, Under old management, many characters were given apartments. We heard many physical altercations through the floor, Laundry stolen, had one attempted break-in, a few plain annoying neighbors, drugs sold in the parking lot, etc. However, when new management took... read more
I am currently living at Essex Place, a Ben Steele property. An yes, the free cable was nice at first, but now I know this place should be renamed as hell. There has been three landlord changes in the eight months we have been here. One of them tried to forge our lease to get more money out of us. But most recently, they have come into our apartment and stolen our three kittens, the cat food and litter, and \$40 also is missing. I just moved into Essex Place Apartments, the only thing I can say about this place is, it is awesome!! I have a workout room with a tanning bed and a sauna. The pool is great and it is always sooo clean. My apartment is resonably priced and has so much room. The staff is VERY friendly and helpful. I give my new apartment complex 5 stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Been here a couple of years now & for the location the size of the apartment and amenities provided are awesome, more then youll get anywhere in Springfield and the price is great! The staff are very professional kind and helpful, no matter how small the request they get the work done right away, they always let you know ahead of time if & when they need to access your apartment & are respectful of my belongings & kind to my pets.
