stopped by with my family to have dinner and it was so good. Fresh, fingerlicking food. we ordered lamb Rogan josh,kashmiri chicken,aloo chat,chilli chicken. Owner made sure everything is good. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy some good Indian food.

Visited Essence of India again after years of having moved from Tallahassee. It’s just as good as I remember and the service was exceptional. We really enjoyed our experience dining here and would absolutely recommend. The paneer tikka masala was my favorite but everything was delicious! Can’t wait to return the next time I’m in town.
I had one night in Tallahassee and I ended up at Essence of India for dinner. The food was amazing. I had shrimp curry Somosa and a great pint of beer (Legend 10,000). The staff was friendly and helpful and made sure that I was happy and satisfied with my meal. This experience was one of the best meals I have ever had. If you are even in Tallahassee and you want some great Indian food stop by the Essence of India. You will not regret it.
I’m here during the lunch hours 12p-2p and it’s not busy. I was greeted at the door by my waiter. I was seated in no time. The restaurant is clean and tables are spaced at least 6ft. The waiter wore his mask the whole time. Because I’ve only been during their pre-COVID-19 buffet times I wasn’t all that familiar with the menu. Essence of India has great authentic, delicious cuisine. I saw the restaurant out of the corner of my eye when moving my son into FSU. We had our goodbye lunch there and it was so good. He had the essence of curry goat, I had a vegetarian dish and my sister had the beef mushroom. All of the meat was so tender and the vegetable were fresh and crisp.
