Does a receptionist have the power to deny a Canadian medical assistance to see a doctor? Yes, they can. Sadly. August 1st, I called and was single digit waiting in the que. I talked a bit about my situation, my fall off a step ladder backwards at work and these forms that needs a doctor to sign for light duties needed or not. She didn't book me to see a doctor but put me on a waiting list for an appointment for my forms. I again, expressed my arm and knee isn't feeling right and really need a doctor to look me over. whenever i can get in i’ve had an okay experience, and the receptionists are nice, but you absolutely NEED to make it clear that you do not have doctors on the weekend. i called this morning and only after being on hold for 10 minutes i was told that they don’t have any doctor in on weekends. this absolutely needs to be stated somewhere on the google business page or something given the miserable state of our healthcare system right now, because if i wanted to try and get into any other clinic i would have had to call right ... read more
Was 21st in the queue at 8am but made a same day appointment. Friendly nurse took my vitals and doctor did a thorough exam making sure to explore all possibilities. Sent to hospital for X-rays, also very efficient for walk-in. Results were sent to the clinic and doctor made time to check for them. She called shortly after to discuss treatment options, same day! Very satisfied with this experience!
Go to the hospital instead. They have 25 slots a day usually and even if you call early and often, you won't get in over the 300 others. You wont get follow up. Don't go Update 3 years: Situation somewhat improved, medical system here still doesn't have enough drs, so if you don't try to get in, exactly when they open on their call line, you won't get in. There's too many people.
