I would never recommend Dr. Hwang to anyone. During a root canal procedure, Dr. Hwang punctured the inside of my lower lip. I reported him to my HMO, and the Dental Board. The HMO required him to refund my premium and part of the charges. The Dental Board is holding the case open for a year, and will investigate if enough people have complaints. In the office, after admitting that the drill slipped, he went to court and blamed me for causing the injury by moving my head during the procedure.
The last review seemed unfair, considering the fact that they were complaining about not getting free goodies. Kind of loses credibility for that reason alone, in my honest opinion. As for me, I've been going to Dr. Hwang for the past few years, and all I have to say is that he has been nothing but professional, warming and genuinely cares about your teeth and gums. He is very knowledgeable and takes his time to answer any questions that I have.
Do not waist your time here. Never have I been so disappointed by a dentist. Was encouraged to get a deep gum clean (debridement ) an addt'l $50 Was given a numbing agent without warning. Cleaning I feel was a standard cleaning. With some extra liquid solution. Was drowned and sprayed with water and tooth polish. There was no final tooth floss and explanation of how to better care for my condition. Also no Shwag.....tooth brush, tooth paste, and FLOSS the one thing they wanted me to do.
