Dr. B let me decide when to have hip replacement. After 4 yrs getting worse I had it done Jan 23rd. Hardly any pain & I started therapy at home the next day. Walking with a can after 8 days & without any assistance 15 days. Very nice staff; everyone is professional & personable. Nothing but positive.

Dr. Bonenberger replaced both hips about 5 years ago. I recently had compression fractures in my spine so I wanted to be sure no problems with hips. My muscles around hips were tight and painful. All was well with implants and Dr. Bonenberger prescribed physical therapy. I highy recommend him.

I had a hip replaced in 2013 and he used a newer method on the front. No pain!!! Had my left new replaced three weeks ago, using the lateral method. Why did I put it off 15 yrs!? Home after surgery in a few hours. Didn’t need the Walker after a few days but was encouraged to use it. On the fourth day, I went out to meet friends. Felt great, didn’t use the pain meds. With this new method, you have so much motion without rehab. It’s incredible. Dr. Bonenberger is a nice guy and great surgeon. I would always go to him.

I thought it was great until I read his report when I went to get a second opinion. He neglected to mention that I was clear both hips hurt due to the significant leg length difference. Many days, it's my "good" hip that keeps me awake from pain. Instead, he chose to leave that entirely out of his notes and focus only on the one that needs replacement now, which was a point of frustration and broke my confidence in him.
