The Equator will no longer be in operation after January 2025. It has new management and the new manager doesn't want to keep it exclusively male or gay. It will turn into a regular guest inn. Too bad, it is always great to be around people who are like-minded as you are. Hopefully with the change the new managers will update and upgrade the rooms and facilities. We were there 09-29 to 10-5 for our anniversary. It's been quite a while since our last visit and noticed some changes. Had an awesome stay! Our room, 28B, was the only disappointment. Horribly uncomfortable bed and very hot in the room due to the sky light and bathroom windows. Needed to put towels over the windows to try to further block the heat and keep the AC at 61. I was there September 11 until September the 14, 2024. Service was good no expectations from them this time, since starting January 2025 it will be a hotel. The bar was great. The bartender that works in the evening his service is terrible. Here was more concern about my swimming than getting me another drink.
Absolutely love this place. We've been there twice this year and are planning to go back.
