I recently had the Gastric Sleeve procedure performed by Dr. Simchuk. I had a fairly easy recovery with minimal pain, no gas pains and my laproscopic incisions have healed up nicely. The nursing staff at Enloe were incredible! I felt heard and cared for. I've had care in other hospitals that made me feel like a nuisance. Not at Enloe! They were in my room before I could even think of asking for anything, checking in on me regularly. I can't say enough about the CNA and Nursing staff there. I am submitting this complaint regarding Dr. Simchuk at Enloe Bariatric Center concerning my care surrounding my planned bariatric surgery.I was scheduled for bariatric surgery. After receiving the surgery date, I believed I was finally going to receive the treatment I had been working toward. I shared the news with my family and friends, and we celebrated what we believed was the beginning of a healthier future for me. The doctors and staff here are amazing and so sweet. Each of them treats you like family and remembers you. They’ve been so supportive on my journey. I am only docking one star because they don’t mention pre-payment enough. If you are considering surgery, just be aware that YOU WILL HAVE TO PREPAY. And no, they don’t do payment plans. So if you have a copay or deductible, expect to pay that upfront before surgery. I found out the hard way after my surgery had already been scheduled.
