I had a CT scan due to an injury from a major car accident that was a hit and run. Ultimately I requested a copy of my records and found out that I magically grew back my appendix that was taken out when I was 12. The reports and charting are majorly off. Makes me wonder the validity of my results and treatment. I have made multiple attempts to contact the billing dept with no return calls. I really did not expect this from Encino Hospital.
We took my son in late during the night We were greater by drunk homeless people sleeping in the waiting room, nurses who were not even dressed in appropriate scrubs (they were incredibly friendly) and all my son needed was a high dose steroid shot. The shot it self was under $50, however we ended up with a $1000 dollar charge for a 30 minute visit. Screw whatever thought they had thinking this is even ok and screw America for creating a health care system in which this is normal.
Stellar ER crew and excellent care. ER nurses had me laughing through my pain and the nursing team in the main hospital took great care of me during my recovery. The doctors and my surgeon and CT tech all were excellent--and the food was surprisingly good. I feel so lucky to have this as my neighborhood hospital.
