Great hikes for all levels. Spotted a long tailed bobcat on the Turkey Pass Trail. Beautiful flora.
I'd always wondered about the canyons and trails I could see from the Enchanted Rock summit, so I hiked the Loop Trail to the Scenic View, which was challenging if only because the unrelenting heat adds to the uphill climb. The granite outcroppings are gorgeous along this route. Connecting to the Moss Lake, Base, and Turkey Pass trails was the most rewarding part, except that it's very easy to lose the trail on Turkey Pass as you're passing over jagged outcroppings. I will give it a figure but only because we didn't reach the very top as we had to make it to Fredericksburg before the shops fully closed. I would also love to come back to explore more.
The summit trail was definitely challenging, but the view was entirely worth it! It was so beautiful and had a peaceful air, even with the number of visitors present.
We loved the Park!! My baby loved the water streams and it was a great experience!
