First time here and first time having tuna that wasn't canned! Dinner was delicious! As good as some restaurants in DC. My Mom and Dad had a lovely time celebrating their 54th with their family!
Have been a customer several times since the restaurant first opened and on a recent trip to South Bend to pick up my son I wanted to stop for dinner on our way home to the Chicago area. Disappointed to say the least when driving past at 7:00 PM EST to see that the place didn't even look open and on a Friday night no less. Food average good, doesn't blow you way but enjoyable. Kitchen service painfully slow!
This was excellent in every detail! The portions were generous and the dishes unique!
Times have changed at the Emporium. The food was over all okay, but not for the price. Our server was new but worked very hard. I ordered the Cornish game hen special.There was nothing in the description about how it was cooked etc. This was 1/2 a hen with no skin that was either boiled or poached based on the flavor, texture and appearance. We had lunch at the Emporium Restaurant yesterday and enjoyed both the ambiance of the restaurant and the food. Try the quiche it was excellent.
