I saw Dr. Jacqueline Mercado back in May for chronic pelvic pain/heavy nausea and GI issues that happened strictly with my period, along with irregular bleeding outside my cycle. I had been checked for endometriosis via laparoscopy several years prior, but since my pelvic symptoms had gotten more severe, I was curious if that had changed. Met with Dr. Shockley 4 weeks ago and discussed a plan for surgery. She seemed enthusiastic and knowledgeable and I felt comfortable moving forward. Haven't heard anything since. I called the office on three different occasions to inquire about this and ask when i would be getting a call to schedule surgery, but I get an answering service that relays my message. So I can't even speak with anyone in the office, and I can't send a message on mychart because Dr. Shockley doesn't show up in my list of providers. I did get a mess... read more

I feel very grateful to have found Emory Women's Center-St.Joseph; this was my first visit. From the moment I arrived, the receptionist, a young man, was friendly, welcoming and checked me in very quickly. My wait time was less than 5 minutes. The MA-Shatrisse was so very, very kind and graceful, she made me feel welcomed and safe, qualities which truly matter to me.
