They gave us hope when there was none. They saved my husband and gave him a better quality of life before transplant. Then with the help of a loving donor and family, they saved his life a second time. Incredibly intelligent and caring people from parking attendants to surgeons. We lived in the hospital for several months. It wasn't easy but Emory made me feel safe and cared for in a time when I felt all alone. The nurses are beautiful angels. My husband needs a liver transplant. We have been waiting 4 weeks to get approval from his insurance company. It shouldn't take that long. When you call, they have to send a message. They may call you back in a week, but it has taken several weeks for a return call or email. I know they are very busy, and my husband is not their only patient. But, he is my only husband.
