I am 67 and was told since I lost so much vision in my left eye that I probably had an eye stroke, so I made and appointment to see this Dr. Gaasch who immediately calmed me down with his patience & kindness and did a full work-up even the back of my eyeball. He let me know all that was wrong was I had dry eye and told me what to order online. Although I experienced helpful customer service via the phone, the difficulty of scheduling is very off putting. The scheduling with this office has been an ordeal. My initial appointment was made in October for the first week of December, and it was canceled. My second appointment was canceled in January which does not help me with my end of year benefit. The only reason I go here is because I work from Emory. However, if you do not, please take your business elsewhere.
Completely disappointed! I’m giving 2 stars only because of the administrative staff and clinical assistants. Dr. Collins gets ZERO stars! Our appointment was set about a month out. I wanted my husband to go to Emory Eye Center for him to see Dr. Peragallo since he has raving reviews. I just received a call that one of my trial contact lenses (just the right eye) was available. My appointment was 5 months ago, and several messages asking when I'd receive my trial lenses went unanswered. The prescription was not a difficult one to obtain.
