Very friendly staff
I went to Emory Ambulatory Surgery Center for what was supposed to be a routine colonoscopy, and it turned into a traumatic medical emergency. During the procedure, the doctor perforated my colon, which caused internal leaking and required an emergency transfer to the ER for surgery. I was hospitalized for three days as a result. My experience went well at this location. It was my 1st time ever doing a colonoscopy and given my age I was getting one done pretty early some may say. From the moment I walked into the waiting area I felt welcomed. Ms. Toya got me checked in for my appt in a timely manner. There was no wait. Ms. Shebreta was very sweet and kept my mind at ease. Never before have I been so frustrated dealing with an Emory procedure. So I was scheduled for a procedure. I noticed 3 days before the procedure that there was no time or instructions listed on my chart for when to report for the procedure. Just a couple questionnaires. Unfortunately when I called no one picked up and it was Friday. I messaged my doctor but of course he was already out of the office And he wasn't going to get back to me over the weekend.
