I want to thank the great doctors and medical staff that worked hard on saving my brothers life from the ER to being in the ICU for 22 days. His prognosis in the beginning wasn’t good but he got exceptional around the clock care and made a remarkable recovery. The communication was awesome and the doctors/nurses gave us constant updates and answered any questions we had without hesitation. My family and I appreciate all of the hard work you guys do everyday!
The night nurse here are some of the laziest dumbest nurses I’ve ever seen. Can’t even read a clock... Thank God I’m paying attention or I wouldn’t have gotten my medication on time 🤦🏻♂️. I had back surgery and I am partially paralyzed in my left leg. I had to get out of bed limp to the walker then hobble my way out into the hallway to get my nurses attention since they refused to respond to my call button...
PET Cardiac team is excellent
They were excellent with my sisters care. There were only two nurses that I thought could have been better. They accommodated me while staying in her room from out of town. I'd recommend.
The ICU waiting room has no where for the family to sleep
Worst place for family that is staying with loved ones that have to stay. My dad is here for over a week. No place for family to sleep. The ICU waiting room is nasty and horrible. Furniture is so old it is falling apart. No reclining chairs for family to sleep. Horrible place.
I can say enough about this place, with a up and coming surgery, they really check you out thoroughly, Iv been diagnosed with some things I had no clue I had and been living with. I love my diabeties management and nutritionist education every momth, Im looking forward to it. Learning so much, I'm now seeing a Cartiologist because of them, Lord I'm glad you placed me in the right hands before my surgery. I highly recommend them, love the joint sessions with everyone as well.
No communication between Dr groups, patients not consulted in care plans. Several times patient was exposed to drugs/substances marked as allergies in chart. Currently on day 7 of stay and no procedure has been done. Drs today are going to "consult again" which means tomorrow will be another nothing day. Hopefully by day 9 something will happen. Emory used to be the top of health care, now it wouldn't be my first choice to take a stray cat.
I had outpatient surgery today and the staff was very nice. A big shout to a nurse name Robert. (I think I was on the 2nd floor). I was in bay #1 and he was my nurse. I’m an extremely hard stick and he had a hard time getting an IV started and drawing blood. He was very kind and humorous. He tried (unsuccessfully) to calm my nerves. But I appreciate the kindness and care he showed. Thank you nurse Robert. Hospitals need more nurses like you.
