L&D front office is by far the worst assembled group of uneducated adults hired to work in a professional setting.
Please know that you need an advocate watching out for you while in the hospital. I had to put up these signs at EMORY University Hospital for my brother, Marcus . It’s so frustrating when the doctors and staff will not communicate with family with the basic care info!!! It’s Emory!!! Where is the patient care on the Neuro floor...? I am currently in the ER treatment area and have not been seen. I have been back here over 1.5 hours and a doctor has not seen me or a nurse.
TERRIBLE is an understatement for Emory’s OBGYN and obstetrics department. FIRST, this hospital lost my medical records. My previous OBGYN sent them my records multiple times and Emory still insisted that they didn’t have them. Then they had the audacity to ask me to pick the medical records up myself and hand deliver them to their department. They are so unorganized. Poor poor service if you are 80 years old!
I went for a visit at the end of last year and a couple of months later got a bill on the mail for whatever my insurance didn't cover ($244.50). I was headed out of town when I got the envelope with the bill so it slipped my mind to pay right away. I forgot about it and a couple of months later received the nastiest letter in the mail saying "since I had not responded to the multiple attempts from them to have the bill settled my account would be transferred to collections in 21 days".
