Very unique dining experience! I highly recommend trying it. I have to admit I didn’t know what half the things were on the menu. Some dishes too bland for me and one was too salty but some were amazingly delicious! Plum sorbet was awesome as well as the gimlet.
Absolutely wonderful food, delightful atmosphere, knowledgeable servers, everything really was wonderful right down to little things like food coming to the table at the perfect temperature to eat! We sat at the chefs table which added such a fun element to the evening. Will definitely be back!

I’d just finished a run along the lake downtown and brought with me a change of clothes so I could rinse off and grab a bite before heading back to my hotel the last night in Austin. I fired up Yelp looking for “Tapas” nearby and saw Emmer & Rye on the opposite end of the block where I was stopped. I used the valet right out front and walked straight in to a spot at a modern, clean natural wood top bar. First time here- I loved the concept of small plates and dim sum. The red potato dish with creme fraiche and paddlefish caviar was delicious, as well as the lamb neck! Great service by Ian!
