Our experience today was a well running but busy space. Greatly appreciate the help from the team.
This ER is top notch. I brought in my son after he had a concussion and was throwing up. The triage team understood the urgency of the situation, aka "the golden hour", and got him right in for a CT scan to look for brain bleeding or fracture. As you can imagine, as the parent, I was in a state between very concerned and shock. Dr. Martinez calmed me down, and personally reviewed the CT results with in 5 min. of the completion. Utterly incompetent and uncaring physicians. I came in twice suffering from SEVERE nerve pain with clear symptoms that I shared with the medical personal. They chose to ignore any of my symptoms and observations and instead test for issues I told them weren't the problem, then when the results came back negative, as I knew they would, the doctors said I was imagining it and that it was probably all just a panic attack from an edible I had taken 8 HOURS AGO! This place is disgusting. The “emergency room” is a tight, dimly lit hallway packed full with people coughing, crying, wheezing and also some appearing to be healthy and bored on a Friday night. Third world vibes. “Triage” means they’re going to ask you for all your PII, home address, date of birth, symptoms in front of total strangers sitting basically on top of you and intently listening to every word. HIPPA VIOLATION. Something you’d expect to see in a small border town in the 80s. Only option is UCLA, 45 mins north. Wild
