go see numerous agencies before... you sign with any agency... do whatever it takes to get seen... ask for general audition days at different agencies in the yellow pages. it also helps big time to know that an agency is AFTRA/SAG FRANCHISED!!!!!!!!!! if you go to the union websites (AFTRA - Amercian Federation of Television and Radio Artists) you will find a list of franchised agencies. Whoop Whoop! : ) I would strongly suggest anyone interested in commercial modeling to go visit Emerald City Model and Talent. They dont believe in expensive classes, but want you to build your resume and gain experience on the job. Its a fantastic way to run a modeling agency because I have already added two jobs to my resume. I'm getting a great start in the industry with ECM&T and would suggest both beginners and experienced models to check it out. Great Agency I am a freelance local casting director assistant. I work on all types of productions including TV commercials, corporate videos and print work. We have used ECMT talent for over 10 years and have been very happy with the diverse talent. Their people are reliable, on time and easy to work with. Great Company!!! We recently saw John at Emerald City Models, and we were so impressed. After auditioning for a few other agencies and being told our daughter was great but needed this class or that class and they wanted thousands of dollars for classes and portfolios (portfolios we couldnt have). Stay away, stay away, stay away! Emerald City Model & Talent is generally recognized across the region as the biggest scam agency around. Professional boards which are used to post legitimate casting calls will not knowingly post a call from Emerald City Model & Talent and will immediately remove postings they find that have been place on the boards under another name on behalf of Emerald City Model & Talent. Do it Big! Iâve been working with ECMT for one year now. Over the course of this year Iâve done an Adidas shoot, a Club shoot and many more. I love this agency and I am prepared to stay with them for the rest of my career, although the great thing is that Iâm not even binded to them. No contract had to be signed.
