I am a patient of Dr. Acholonu and give him 10 stars! He is a genuine, caring, and compassionate Surgeon. He has an aweome bedside manner and is very encouraging to his patients. As a bariatric patient, he is on the journey with you. You're never alone. He makes the journey that much easier. He is always smiling and is just a wonderful Surgeon, friend, mentor, and professional. He genuinely cares about his patients.
I cannot say enough as to how happy I am that I chose Dr A for my gastric sleeve performed January 18, 2016. I knew he was the right dr from the minute I met him. I had previously seen another doctor about the surgery but did not feel the connection. Dr. A gives you everything you need. His undivided attention, all the time you need & explains everything. Along with my sleeve he removed my gallbladder and repaired my hiatal hernia. He is an EXCELLENT surgeon. To me the best choice.
Dr. Acholonu performed my gastric sleeve and hiatal hernia surgery. Dr. A always has a smile. It is the first thing you notice about him. He is a doctor who is encouraging and informative. I never felt that any question I asked was a dumb question. Dr. A is an excellent doctor and a very kind man. I highly recommend him.
Excellent experience, I felt safe and totally relaxed being this was my first ever surgery. Dr. Emeka Acholonu had me laughing throughout pre and post surgery, very caring and supreme proffessional in his field. I can not thank Dr.Emeka Acholonu and his staff enough.
He is a kind and intelligent gentleman! He explained my condition and the process of the surgery very well. And after all the important things were taken care of, he isn't afraid to make a joke or two. I highly recommend Dr. Acholonu!

My experience with Dr. Acholonu was a excellent. I found him to be very caring and most of all he listened to my concerns. Dr. Acholonu never made me feel embarrassed about my body weight, instead he encouraged me to take the steps to inprove my health. He made me feel comfortable with my decision to work on getting my health better by changing my eating habits,exercise, and feel confident that I can do it. I have told my family and friends about his patient to doctor relationship. GREAT!
