I have been seeing Allen for a few months now and have appreciated his ability to connect and create what seems like a light, open space to express my thoughts and problems and receive understanding input without judgement. I’ve had trouble connecting with therapists in the past and have loved his realistic approach and would recommend him to anyone, whether dealing with trauma or everyday anxieties.
I have been seeing Allen for about 6 months now. Allen is my first therapist so I do not have a lot of experience with therapy. I can say I am very happy with Allen's approach to my mental healing. We do talk therapy for current issues life brings, then do EMDR and hypnotherapy for some childhood PTSD. Allen's approach is very organic and non-judgemental. It has been a long road to recovery, but for the first time in close to a decade of dealing with depression and anxiety I can see that light shimmering in the distance.
Dr. Sidwell is amazing! It’s really hard to find therapist and psychiatrists that you vibe with in general, but I was looking for someone for EMDR, which is obviously extra sensitive bc you’re usually dealing with trauma. Dr. Sidwell made me feel super comfortable from the beginning and has helped me work through a LOT of traumas and even been able to delve into some things I didn’t even realise were affecting me. I received EMDR therapy from Allen and it was life changing. It was my 1st time seeking EMDR therapy and I would highly recommend Allen to anyone seeking this type of therapy. Allen was very intuitive, practical, and kind. Most of all, I felt completely at ease and it made the experience very meaningful.
Allen Sidwell changed my life. I am truly grateful for all his wisdom and support. I have had many therapists in my life and Allen is best one I have ever had.
