This restaurant in so elegant in a fun, funky, colorful sort of way, so I guess that’s it’s unique ambiance. The food was not your ordinary run of the mill Mexican faire but it wasn’t that snooty, little bit of food in the center of the plate with a stick standing up in the middle either. The food was delicious, abundant, wonderfully prepared and presented (too much food for me so I had it packed up to go, which I don’t usually do). I have been going to Elvira's for 40+years since before it moved to Tubac...the food, the ambience....the beauty and always a good experience
Very limited menu prices were quite high
The Mole is Amazing. i was reluctant to try it as I usually do not like Mole. however the server was insistent the Mole is their specialty. I was not disappointed. their pickled onions and pickled vegetables are some of the best. this restaurant is a little pricey but worth it.
