My review is only for the office scheduling staff. I called and specifically stated I have Web-Tpa insurance which they stated they do accept. I informed the office staff that I was just wanting lenses for my current frames. After I seen the optometrist and went to optical to get my prescription for my lenses. I was informed that the optometrist accepts my Web-tap insurance but optical does not, it is considered a total out of pocket expense. I have been a patient of Dr Elmquist for more than 15 yrs. He has always been very helpful and successfully dealt with my eye problems. He is the best!
I had vision loss in one eye that came on very sudden, after my visit to urgent care, I got an appointment with Dr Elmquist. This was a Tuesday, after a thorough exam and many questions he diagnosed “Giant Cell Arteritis”. This disease is very serious and causes blindness if not treated immediately. Dr.Elmquist started me on Prednisone, sent me for blood work and to confirm my diagnosis set up a biopsy of the Temporal Artery with a neurosurgeon. All this was done in 2 days. He and his partner D
I visited Dr. Elmquist today for an irritation on my left eye lid. I called early in the morning and they got me in same day. The staff was very professional and thorough. I had a complete eye exam and learned I had a blocked oil gland. He advised hot compressors several times a day. Although I am only here January to May I intend to get my annual eye exam down here with Dr Elmquist.
This doctor has absolutely no respect for his patients time. Wait, wait, wait. Overbooked! This has to be greed and an inflated ego.
5 yrs ago I was new in FT Myers, FL and needed an opthalmogist. He saw me very quickly and referred me to a Retina Specalist. Since then I have had my cataracts removed by him and now see him on a yearly basis. He is an excellent surgeon and doctor.I would recommend him to anyone.
Dr. Elmquist was highly recommended by my retina doctor. I am high risk with retinal issues and am developing a cataract. My retina doctor would not recommend anyone but the best. Not only is Dr. Elmquist caring, compassionate and an incredibly nice man, he is extremely thorough. He takes his time, explains everything and does not rush. That is a rarity. His technical staff was equally as thorough and gave me a comprehensive eye exam. I have absolute trust and confidence in this group.
