Most uncaring, unpersonal experience with a doctor's office. Very rigid rules for people seeking mental health help. Had to cancel a telehealth appointment when I was waiting for the doc to answer and his staff called to tell me I would have to pay for the visit bc Medicare did not pay for it. Why didn't they let me know that when they confirmed the appointment? Instead they sent a nasty letter saying if I cancelled too many appointments they would need to dismiss me. This was my first cancellation!!
Takes time to get all information. Professional and up on current practices and meds. Listens and lets you talk and ask questions
I have been a patient of Dr. Elliston for several years. I appreciated his medical care and liked him personally. However, something changed in his practice, and it became a factory where a patient is made to feel uncared for. This office is run like a cable company, where individual patients no longer matter because of the sheer volume of business. Even email is left completely unacknowledged, despite a stated policy that all emails will be addressed within 48 hours. I am sad to leave this review, but I feel new patients mu... read more
Prospective patients should be aware of the challenges they might face at this psychiatric office. The staff, including individuals like the nurse or administrator Kay, may inquire about your diagnosis even if you haven't visited a psychiatrist before. Additionally, be prepared to answer questions about what is wrong and what medication you might need. If you prefer a more patient-centric and understanding approach, it's advisable to consider other healthcare options. From the moment I entered the room, it was evident that Ms... read more
Took my stroke survivor wife there since her existing psychiatrist disappeared without a trace. Wanted her to be seen my the doctor who refused and made us deal with a nurse practitioner who was rude, argumentative, would t listen. Worst experience ever. Wasted over an hour there with no results. Need to find her another one.
I was a patient of Dr. Elliston’s for about 10 months. His office staff were pretty awful, always have an attitude, and were increasingly difficult to put up with. Before my last encounter with their office, they told me I wasn’t in compliance with an office policy & had to reschedule my appointment. I asked if I could have a copy of the office policies emailed to me so that I could be better prepared for future visits and adhering to office policies. Then was told by the same staff member that they don’t have office policie... read more
Excellent Physician! Very thorough, takes his time. Records thorough information in medical records and remembers details from previous visits.
He is definitely an excellent psychiatrist. He's a great listener and very insightful! I would absolutely refer him to a friend if needed.
He is kind, caring, easy-going, stays up to date on newest developments, and he is thorough.
