I have been sick with Ulcerative Colitis for 14 years. I have gone to the best doctors in Westchester, Mayo Clinic and Mount Sinai. She was phenomenal! I can’t remember a doctor spending that much time with me or being so thorough. Love the more holistic approach and I found her to be warm, caring and personable.

Dr. Scherl is phenomenal. I’ve been under her care for the past few years and she is, by far, the most knowledgeable and caring Gastroenterologist I have been treated by. Her staff is just as amazing as she is. They always go above and beyond to fit me in to Dr. Scherl’s busy schedule when urgently needed and are always happy to answer any questions I have in a timely manner and in a way that is easy to understand. I would HIGHLY recommend!

I can’t believe that Dr Ellen Scherl does not have 5 stars. She has been a lifesaver for me and I wish I had found her 40 years ago. I do not live in the NYC area and travel six hours to see her - she is worth the time. She assessed my medical history and established a treatment plan. Unfortunately, I had another flare the day after the appointment. This setback did not upset Dr Scherl and she worked to get my health back. Dr Scherl is a unique doctor and has greatly improved my quality of life.

I am leaving this review for Dr. Scherl's assistant, Crystal Ramos. Crystal is a superb assistant who responds quickly to issues which Dr. Scherl can't get to right away. I appreciate her helpfulness in dealing with issues regarding my daughter's Crohn's Disease. I am happy Crystal is part of Dr. Scherl's team.

Dr. Scherl is phenomenal. She recently turned around a terrible flareup which landed me in the hospital for the first time in decades. I'm now feeling a thousand percent better as a result of her care. I've been with the practice for several years and candidly it used to be badly run. But those logjam issues have evaporated in the last year or so. Scherl's assistant Crystal is a huge asset especially with complicated insurance issues. Highly recommend.

Dr. Scherl has been my gastroenterologist for over 15 years. Her expertise in treating my issues has been unsurpassed. I trust her with my life. She deserves the highest recommendation a patient can give their doctor.

Dr. Scherl is the BEST gastroenterologist on the east coast. She is thoughtful knowledgeable understanding. She practices up to date evidenced based care. Dr. Scherl ultimately saved my life along with a superb surgical colleague. She listens to her patients with her ears and eyes!! Dr Scherl is dedicated and provides only high quality safe effective medical care. I travel from other states to see the best!!
