The food here was amazing -- so flavorful and just beautiful. My husband and I went with another couple and we devoured every morsel. We started with the chef's specialty, the mussels, and we could not get enough of that sauce. My husband and I both tried the seared halibut with gnocchi, lobster, and zucchini. Wonderful. Our friends both tried the crabby scallops and they were also scrumptious.
Officially a new favorite restaurant. Why you ask? A perfect combination of a unique menu, 5 star service from Neal, a pleasant decor, and a chef who makes tasty dishes that are a good size. My wedge salad was excellent as was my chicken bolognese, the espresso martini and my friend's rigatoni. I just wish I had room for the desserts as they all sounded wonderful. Next time... next time...
Second year in a row we went to Ella's while on vacation, food and the service was outstanding both times Can't wait to go back again!
When you want a special culinary experience in the Mystic area the food and service here are just terrific!
Absolute perfection. Creative and delicious fusion of flavors. Incredible wait staff etc elegant but not stuffy. A wonderful touch for the chef to visit every table. 5 stars without a doubt.
Chef gets 5 plus, food bursting with flavors , cool and serene environment. Waitress new so service was slow. I couldn't get a diet gin and tonic since they don't have diet tonic. I was trying to cut my sugar consumption so I ended up drinking water. She told us we would get 4 crabby scallops as my husband and I shared but we only got 3 and they charged us 5 dollars more on top of 34 dollars for sharing.
